The January 25 date is a day to celebrate the conversion of St. Paul. St. Paul is the patron saint of Vigan and its church is located at the heart of the city. Paul's conversion can be dated to by his reference to it in one of his letters. According to the Acts of the Apostles, his conversion (or metanoia) took place on the road to Damascus where he experienced a vision of the resurrected Jesus after which he was temporarily blinded.

Also in this day, The Longganisa Festival is being held. Street dances, lots f establishments where you can buy foods and other programs to entertain the people.
